Message from the President

Dear Rotarians,

I bring warm greetings to you and your family members from our District Governor Rtn N S Mahadev Prasad and First Lady Rajeshwari!

The Rotary International theme for 2024-25 “THE MAGIC OF ROTARY” emphasizes the transformative power of Rotary International’s work in communities around the world. Similarly, The Rotary District 3192 theme for 2024-25 “Team Josh” emphasizes the very essence of enthusiasm, the power of team work and unwavering passion igniting and perfectly capturing the team’s spirit and dedication. The dynamic and eye-catching design of Team Josh logo is a true reflection of the team’s infectious energy and commitment.

Our sincere respect to the outgoing President Rtn Pranjit Dutta and team for an outstanding Rotary Year 2023-24. You have made us all proud by scaling newer heights by executing wonderful projects.

It is with great honour and privilege; I take over as the 29th President of this prestigious club Rotary Bangalore Rajmahal Vilas. I am blessed to have a very efficient and professional team at the secretariat. Club Secretary Rtn Sundar Prakash and Club Treasurer Rtn Surendraa Singhvii have been working very closely with me during the preparations for the new Rotary Year.

The focus will be to have a fulfilled activity plan with special emphasis on regular family fellowship programs, bonding activities, increasing member engagement programs, collaborate with the local community by actively involving them in meaningful and scalable projects and last but not least, engage with Rotaractors, Interactors and Inner Wheel members to foster goodwill and mutual growth.

Our club over the last 2 decades has earned the distinction of executing some of the most unique projects and continues to grow year on year. The project size has been consistently more than Rs one crore every year. Health, Education and Environment will be the key focus areas and ably supported by large hearted donors of our club and many of the CSR partners who have partnered with us.

I and grateful to the board and other members of Rotary Bangalore Rajmahal Vilas for bestowing me this opportunity to lead the club during 2024-25. The board is equipped with the best of resource in terms of experience and knowhow to carry forward all the plans envisaged for the Rotary Year.

Rotary is a very well-structured organization. It is therefore important for us to follow the best practices while following the principles of 4-way test and adhere to all the compliances and protocols. We will strictly follow the bylaws and constitution prescribed by the Club, District and Rotary International.

Let us come together ever so closely to experience joy, happiness, good health and bring new meaning and life to the deserving people in our community by serving them.

Born and raised in Bangalore Is an Professional degree Law graduate , we both were classmates and seen her journey hence glad to introduce her , she was Human Resources Transformation Mentor of over 25yrs who served in start-ups that grew to be top corporate houses whose process and practices are benchmark in software industry, Entrepreneur & founder of human capital management services firm Karma Kreators that executed for top software brands for Ten years which she relinquished to serve her passion Kuchipudi Art

A fine versatile artiste of the Kuchipudi dance style of this generation mastered the art form close to 42 years initially under only Guru the renowned Kuchipudi exponent Smt. Manju Barggavee since her age of 8.

She is a dedicated Artist with creative organizational abilities and has received lot of accolades for her vivacious dance techniques not only in India but also North Americas, Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and at Bahrain for India Independence festival by Ministry of Culture India.

Currently donning multiple roles, she has carved a niche with Brilliant and Original choreographic works. She is fully engaged in teaching aspirants In India, Europe, USA, Australia, South Korea,UAE and South Africa.

She is the life trustee at Kuchipudi Parampara Foundation, Bangalore a Non profit trust that she founded has been empanelled with Central Ministry of Culture for festivals of India Abroad, Recognised for grants by Kannada & Culture Govt of Karnataka, Sangeeth Natak Akademi New Delhi ,Assisted Chairman Kuchipudi Text book Committee Govt of Karnataka that published her Photography in textbook, PG Examiner at Reva University of Performing Arts.

Her contributions were recognised by Federation of Karnataka chambers of commerce and Industry, EMERG Bangalore’s oldest women entrepreneurs group, Gardencity University , Philanthropic Society of India, Seshadripuram Educational Trust and hundreds of art organisations in India and abroad.

She is married to Sashindran Nair a top executive leader in lifestyle Retail Industry, he also pursues his hobby of practising Kerala percussion artform. Son Sharad Sashindran has completed his masters in Sports Management at Berlin, Germany and is a UEFA Licensee certified and will be joining soon a duesche league soccer club. Daughter is in third semester of Humanities studies specializing in psychology and planning to major in criminal psychology and is a wonderful classical dance performer of Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam.

She has taken up social responsibilities being a Rotarian of Rotary Bangalore Rajmahal Vilas and will be installed as the 29th President of our prestigious club today.
