In 2012-13, Rotary Rajmahal Vilas successfully executed a project of Rs. 36 lakhs to build an eye surgical wing at Drishti Hospital in Devanahalli. The significance of this project was that it served the beneficiaries from rural Bangalore with free cataract surgeries. Close to 2000 underprivileged people have been benefited.
The project was brought about by the cooperation between Rotary Bangalore Rajmahal Vilas and Rotary Club of Colville, USA, in addition the Rotary International Districts 4510, 5080, and 3190 also contributed to the funds.
