HP ALFA (ACCESSIBLE LEARNING FOR ALL) DIGITAL CLASSROOMS

Today in India, many students still lack access to modern learning methods. Rotary Bangalore Rajmahal Vilas, in partnership with HP and NIIT Foundation, is bringing digital literacy right to the doorsteps of rural children. Not only are students learning how to use computers, but they’re also gaining the tools needed to succeed in today’s digital world!

Dr. M C Sudhakar, Honorable Minister of Higher Education, inaugurated Our signature project “HP ALFA DIGITAL CLASSROOMS” in the presence of RI District 3192 District Governor Rtn. N S Mahadev Prasad.

A Nobel initiative of equal education for all children which is their right and our club made a difference to govt schools, colleges in Chikballapur, few in Mandya for children’s year on year.

Project Summary

It aims to develop digital infrastructure within rural Government schools and empower teachers to practice technology-led teaching to help integrate technology in the classroom. It will help the teachers incorporate these practices, in lessons, for a profound demonstrable impact on school-going children, enabling them to continue to walk their path of discovery and sustainable growth in life.

CAPEX – HP India

HP is providing the complete CAPEX for this project under their CSR activity and in partnership with the NIIT Foundation. The products include:

  • 55″ Smart Google TV
  • 128GB SD Card
  • HP Life Courses
  • Digital Literacy

IMPLEMENTATION:

We are implementing this project in the following rural districts:

  • 8000+ students will benefit year on year
  • 50+ teachers are trained
  • 3 schools in Mandya District

PROJECT STATUS:

Installation and commissioning of the Digital Classrooms have been completed and 2 sessions of Teacher Training were held on Aug 26 and Aug 31 in partnership with the NIIT Foundation. The project is now complete, and schools have started using the Digital Classrooms.

IMPACT:

A total of 8000+ rural students will benefit from this project and our Club members will be monitoring the same over the next year and keep updating the outcome.
